Jon Stone was born in Derby and currently lives in Whitechapel, London.
He is co-creator and co-editor of both Sidekick Books and Fuselit magazine, with Kirsten Irving, and was highly commended in the National Poetry Competition in 2010, the same year his debut pamphlet, ‘Scarecrows’, was published by Happenstance.
His poetry has been anthologised in City State: New London Poetry (Penned in the Margins, 2009) and in The Best British Poetry 2011 (Salt). A full length collection, ‘School of Forgery’, is due out in April 2012 from Salt. As well as poetry, Jon designs websites and writes articles and reviews for a wide variety of publications. He works professionally as a court transcript editor.
