Helen Mort was born in Sheffield. She has published two pamphlets with the tall lighthouse and her second, ’A Pint For The Ghost’, was a Poetry Book Society Choice. Her poems have appeared in magazines including The Spectator, Poetry Review and the Manhattan Review and she’s also a regular performer, appearing at festivals such as Latitude and winning ‘Literary Death Match’ in 2010. She’s also a keen marathon runner, climber and real ale drinker.
Helen has recently completed a year as Poet-in-Residence at The Wordsworth Trust in Grasmere, in the Lake District.
